Identification:
If you need to have a document notarized, you must appear in person with proper identification – you cannot send someone else in for you.
Please note that you must bring identification with your photograph and signature on it so that we may verify your identity. Examples of identification that meets those criteria are as follows:
Driver's License or Non-Driver's ID Card
Passport
Permanent Resident Cards ("green cards")
Federal, State, County, or local government ID
Certified Copies:
Notary Publics in New York State are not authorized to certify that a copy of a document is a “true copy” of the original. Instead we can notarize a written statement that you provide to certify the accuracy of the copy.
Wills:
A Notary Public cannot notarize wills; however, we will notarize the self-proving affidavit often attached to a will that is signed by two witnesses. Please note that if you wish for us to notarize the self-proving affidavit, you must provide your own witness
